(*‿*) Whose genius idea was it to put the MENUS on HUGE CLIPBOARDS, with Rubber Bands??? First of all, the hostess couldn't even grab six menus without struggling. We had a booth of six people and each had their own menus. We were bangin' menus into one another. Turning huge clipboards around to front and back to read menu. Then, there was an extra smaller cardboard menu or two included. If you order appetizers and have not decided on your meal yet, the GIANT MENUS are in the way. How can you place your appetizers and yet fit a Giant Clipboard Menu on the booth for six.... with six and a baby. Then..... unfortunately there was a "follicle" in a salad. So they gave the poor kid a free dessert. Shut that kid up with a freebie dessert. Come up with a standard, normal looking menu with fold-outs. (*‿*) But, I swear to God, the menu was about 3 feet high. We needed another table just for the MENUS! You could surf or snowboard on these!

Let's see - they raised the prices and lowered the quality! My chicken sandwich was hard as a rock and they did remake it and it was better. My friend had a loaded baked potato - how hard is it to serve a great baker? Well...they failed on this one too. I wasn't the only frustrated patron - the people on either side of me were equally unhappy with the new higher prices. A chicken sandwich is now $11.50 for that price I'd rather go to J Alexanders! Wednesday Happy Hour wine is now $5... it was $4 They no longer honor Seniors and happy hour only goes to 6PM... sorry - wish I had better news today...

Which was great for are party was from 70 yrs old to 12. They could have used more wait staff to help with service. We would go back if we were in the area again and time premitted.

love this place. love the people who work here. they are so friendly and accomodating. got plenty of choices for everyone. i have been sticking to my favorites as usual but loved most of there offering. tonight was even better. while waiting for friend to arrive, we were frequently visited by our waitress to makesure we were all taken care of. when she had to switch her duties, she came to apologize and also introduced waitress who was gonna take care of us. she was also very friendly and accomodating. when one of our friend needed extra sauces for her salad, she gladly obliged and brought it out. over all, food was ok but service was exceptional.

I came here with my family last weekend. I've eaten here once before that. I don't really remember much of it, except that it was great! We got the fried green beans as an appetizer. I only had a few of them and they were good. It came with a cheesy dipping sauce. I ended up getting the soup and salad combo because I figured it would be the least amount of damage calorie wise. It wasn't too bad. My food was good, but my parents and sister however... My mom ordered the Salmon salad and said it definitely wasn't as good as it used to be, and they took her favorite dish off of the menu. My step dad ordered one of the burgers and told the waitress he wanted it medium well. It came out almost rare. Barely even cooked, it looked disgusting! We had to wait for them to cook a whole new one. My younger sister is a vegetarian and ordered the kids burger with a veggie patty. It came out as a regular burger! We had to send hers back as well, and had to wait for a whole new one to be cooked. 2 of us had food, and 2 of us didn't. We all had to wait another 10 minutes to eat because of these errors. The waitress said it was only her second week. She had forgotten to put in the veggie burger, and the cooks were the ones who messed up the burger. The manager came over and thankfully took both of their dinners off of our bill. They were very apologetic about all of it and we were very grateful for that. I don't think we will be returning anytime soon. This place used to be so good, I'm not really sure what happened.

What can I say about this great restaurant! Today I had a server ned Amber and she was incredible. What a fantastic experience! She explained all the gluten, dairy, soy options and knew her menu items so well it was refreshing. I had the lettuce wraps which are actually an appetizer and they were flavorful and filling for an entree. I love this place and plan on returning.

Bar is always dead and patrons that do go are kinda edgy. The inside is odd. Kinda between African but not really??? I have had lunch and or a dinner several times over the past many years in which I have never had a bad meal or service. The prices are decent in which for lunch two people with tip and sodas can spend less than $30. The place is clean and the staff is friendly, so take the family or that special here for a meal.

My parents have been coming here for a while and they always wanted to invite us (my husband and myself) to this place. I was never really interested as I believe if you want a good hamburger you go to a burger place, if you want pizza you go to a pizzeria, if you're craving indian food you visit an indian restaurant. Anyways, for Valentines Day we gave in and accepted the invitation. Should've known better and should've stayed at come and just cook. Food was terrible. The burger was full of grease and Of course grease dripping everywhere, bun was soggy and disgusting. Yes, I should've known better but honestly I have no idea what else I could've eaten here since nothing was appealing enough for me. What a waste of time and money to even come here. I'm sure that I will never ever come here again. The wait staff was very nice though but that's the only positive thing I can say about this place. Unfortunate that I have to give such a poor rating.

Salt! They love to use tons and tons of salt. Everyone's dish at lunch today was really salty. Didn't even take 10 minutes after eating and I started to feel nauseated. Actually as I write this review almost 2 hours later I still feel nauseated. Drinking lots of water now to flush out the weeks worth of salt. This place seems to be guaranteed chorro.

Had not been here in quite a while. This place used to be packed. Not hard to see why it's not crowded. The food is not nearly as good as it once was. The Asian sauces are too sweet and the dishes lack the complexity they once had. Not likely to return.

Had lunch here today with a friend. We both had hamburgers. I ordered mine Medium and his was ordered Medium Well. His was cooked Well Done and mine was closer to Medium Rare. Otherwise, the burgers were tasty and the service (Major was the waiter), was fast and friendly. We shared some onion rings as an app which were a little greasy and probably would have been better had they been left in the fryer another minute or so, they were a little under cooked. The fries that came with the burgers were fresh, crispy and very good. All in all, the best burger we have found so far in Greenwood Village, so we will be back.

First time there today. It was lunch time and the place was busy. Ordered the Cobb salad. Server was nice but the food took a long time to come out. The bacon on my salad were hard as rocks and small like bacon bits. The lettuce was a joke, mostly was the hearts of iceberg lettuce. Possibly the worse part of lettuce. The chicken was cold and in small cubes and the Gorgonzola was minimal. Zoup offers a better Cobb salad for less! I won't be returning.

Great atmosphere, good food, not great food. Higher end food as far as franchises go. The got rid of my favorite noodle dish but their salmon dishes are fantastic as well as their Mongolian beef. A great take on Asian dishes with American flare. They have all types of regional cuisine styles, good cocktails, and decent desserts. We love visiting with friends and sharing a meal here. You know what I love? Menus with pictures, it's just visually stimulating and makes the dining experience fun. You know what I don't love? Menus with pictures that gives you false expectations of what to expect. I went here for a business lunch last week and was amazed with the menu--pictures along with tasty sounding (and looking) items that had me flip flopping from one item to another! I soon decided on the Thai-High Sweet & Zesty Chicken Salad since it looked absolutely amazing in the picture. Soon enough our food was there and I was thinking "Where the hell is the rest of my salad?" The salad they gave me (supposedly the Thai-High Sweet & Zesty Chicken Salad) was a weak looking bowl of iceberg lettuce, random bits of chicken and dressing. Again, where the hell is the rest of my salad? The picture on the menu displayed an actual salad that looked vibrant with colors and vegetables. Since I was on a business lunch I didn't want to be that girl requesting a new salad so I begrudgingly ate my salad but I wasn't happy with it. It was the saddest salad I've ever had. I wouldn't make a special trip here but if someone were paying for me I might go again!

I really wish I could give this place an extra star because I am really in between 3 and 4. I had been wanting to try this place for a long time, ever since I saw the other location at Belmar. I finally was out the other night and debating between restaurants in the DTC area and decided to come here to try it out. It somewhat reminded me of a Chedders. We sat in the dining area that faced the bar. I liked that the bar was circular, seems like it would be a good place if you were going to watch a game or just hang out for some drinks, I was expecting this place to look like an African Safari of some sort and I wasn't disappointed by the decor. There were large giraffes and a huge elephant on the wall (photo posted). The server came over and was extremely friendly, we talked briefly about the tragic Super Bowl and then she gave us time to look over the extensive menu, there were a ton of options for appetizers and entres. It's easy for me to get overwhelmed with that many options but we decided on the coconut shrimp skewers, they were pretty good and the portion size was good.. For an entre I ordered the Ahi Seared Tuna Salad and my date ordered the Mongolian Beef. The portions are large, but the pricing is a little bit steep. I didn't find that the flavor was fantastic but I would definitely come back to try out a few other things. Again, this place really just reminds me of a Cheddars, a little bit pricey for being a chain though. I'll give it another shot, maybe we can get one more star. We'll see.

I often forget this Elephant Bar exists. It's kind of off the beaten path, even for suburbia, so you can pass it a few times a week and forget that it's there. I do love the menu selections here, the Teriyaki Chicken has been a staple menu item in my life for the last few visits because the flavor is so fantastic. I had the tomato basil bisque with a small pear/walnut/gorgonzola salad on my last visit here and wow. Amazing. The soup was really flavorful and the salad had the right amount of everything.

This is a place I have driven by over the years, but never actually gone too. My Grandmother loves it. The only other people who have told me about it are happy hour workers, so I really had no idea if it was going to my kinda place based on those reviews! Still, we got a gift card to the place and figured, well for a free meal why not! We started with the spinach and artichoke dip. It was tasty and they didn't skimp on the chips (tortilla). For dinner I had the french dip with a side of mac n cheese. The sandwich had good crusty bread, but the meat was just so-so (not a lot of flavor there) and I found myself using a lot of au jus to infuse some taste. The mac n cheese was creamy and good. I didn't care for the salad croutons they plopped on top, seemed like an afterthought. Other than that, the booths were nice and big, the service was very attentive and it was a decent place to go on a gift card! I am not sure I would be back, but it had a wide enough menu I might just try something else if I am in that neck of the woods.

It's been a long time since I originally reviewed the Elephant Bar. I've been a repeat customer since then, as EB has become one of my steadfast favorites. The menu is extensive with new offerings at a respectable pace; no overwhelming menu revisions like similar chains. I'm a fan of the salads, sweet potato fries, & macadamia crusted Mahi. I tend to stick to my staples and have only been let down once. I did have a very sub-par, strange experience dining last week. It's really too much to go into, and not even worth explaining, because the assistant manager Patrick went above & beyond to make amends & correct the issue. The service I received from Patrick was compassionate, concerned, and incredibly respectful. My experience was a good reminder as to how important it is to alert management when you have an issue, even if that requires contacting the business a few days after your visit. My experience almost ruined my relationship with EB, but the response I received was phenomenal & I will continue to visit Elephant Bar. Thanks Patrick!!

I've been coming to this restaurant for many years with my family but my last three visits have been awful, specifically the service, and I won't be coming back. Tonight we arrived at around 9, the restaurant almost empty. We ordered calamari as an app and also ordered diner. The app came out right away but after finishing the app, we waited another 30 minutes for our meal. At that time our waiter disappeared - literally. We never saw him the rest of the night. After finishing our meal we waited 20 minutes for the check and I finally had to get up and walk in to the kitchen and ask someone to bring it to us. Our waiter was no where to be found and it was easily almost an hour AFTER our meal was finished before we were able to leave. Food was pretty good but since I've had similar experiences on our last several visits, I won't be back. 2 stars for the food.

I had eaten at this chain once in the past and could not remember why I would not go back. Now I know. Please avoid this chain if you have any food sensitivities. I had the french onion soup without anything else but plain iced tea. I knew while I was eating (at a business lunch) that I was in trouble because of the metallic taste in my mouth, I don't believe I have had as much MSG at one sitting as I did with this "soup." I developed a headache and stomach upset that lasted over 15 hours-I awoke in the middle of the night belching the soup. Maybe there were other preservatives I could not identify. I make french onion soup-it is a no brainer that requires simple ingredients. I usually avoid chains because of the preservatives in the food and this restaurant merely proved my point.

Great food, good service, but a little slow on getting tables ready. The food selection here is amazing and the cooks do a great job implementing the recipes. Try the Kung Pow Shrimp, or Strip Steak sandwich if you are going the first time as it will give you a great idea of what food they have. Management does not have enough servers to take care of a packed dinner service anytime we go, therefore give yourself an hour to get your food when you first arrive. Very close to 5 stars, but the location manager must take the time to get service done.

I was not impressed. While the actual restaurant was beautiful the service was terrible. I took my family for a birthday dinner and dinning with kids is stressful enough without having a disappearing waitress. I'm not sure if she was on a break but she was sitting in a booth chatting with someone the first 20 minutes she was MIA and then who knows the second time we couldn't find her for over 15 minutes when we wanted to order dessert. If it wasn't a birthday I would have said screw dessert. The food was okay. I had a wedge salad with runny ranch dressing. My family members had a ribeye and they liked and said was cooked well. Another had the Tri- tip which she said tasted and was the texture of pho meat. We should of just for pho. My drink was tasty and refreshing it was a ginger splash type of drink. Over all it was a disappointing birthday dinner.

A work vendor gave me a gift card so we thought we'd try Elephant Bar for dinner one night. The service was excellent and the food was so-so. We got the spinach artichoke dip for the app, and it was good. I had the steak sandwich. I ordered it well-done and it wasn't really, but the flavor was still okay. It wasn't the best thing I've ever eaten, but not the worst either ,hence the 3 stars. Not sure if I'd be back without another free gift card, but I wouldn't turn it down either!

This place is big. I heard the martinis are great but I didn't order anything of the sort, there with my child, such as I was. I had the tempura salmon roll and while it tasted good it fell apart in chunks when dipped in the shoyu, which was disheartening. People need to learn how to properly roll sushi is all I'm saying. There's nothing like fishing out grains of rice from the soy sauce bowl. Sigh. My child had the Thai chicken salad which she promptly hated. I think it's because, shock of shocks, there were actual vegetables in it. I tried it however and thought it was certainly fine enough. My entree was the tempura mahi sandwich which was standard, I guess, sort of what you expect at a chain-type place. Tasty if not bland, hearty if not fulfilling. I'll go back and try the bar some day, but all in, based on my one experience, I wasn't overly thrilled. It was just good enough.
i really like this place. they have a menu equipped with nutritional info online. if you're a weight watcher like me, it's easy to go prepared. the atmosphere is so cute and fun. i love the decorating and the moving fans are such a conversation piece. the menu is huge and has a little something for everyone. in my pms haze on thursday, i ordered a french dip with fries (don't worry fellow ww, i only ate 1/2 of it) and MY was it TASTY. my friend got an amazing looking chicken dish. i look forward to going back and trying the asian delights. andrew was a very attentive and sweet server. he was knowledeable and professiona and kept my diet coke filled through the duration of our visit. the parking lot is a little insane at lunch, but honestly, that's my only complaint. enjoy!

I used an email preferred customer coupon to try out the elephant bar with my family. Boy, was that a mistake.....now it's the ONLY place they want to go. Fresh food, lots of taste. I am going to guess we've been there twelve times this month? We haven't gotten a bad meal, yet, and I've been trying them all. Honestly, perhaps laughably, my husband broke his nose and has no sense of smell, and a limited ability to taste. This was the only place that had enough flavor in the food that he can taste the food. How's that for an honest review? Guess we'll be hanging out there as long as he needs to eat to stay alive.

The food was just "OK", nothing to make us want to return, but the service was horrible. A taller young female "server". Long time to order, later arriving guests sitting across from us got their order sooner than us, and then when we wanted to pay and leave, waited and waited for the check, and then another 10 min without even seeing the "server" so we went to the front to see if they would take our money since the "server" obviously didn't want it. While the young man was processing our CC, and we were finally signing the bill, she came to the front and was very snooty, "I'm sorry I wasn't fast enough for you". Got a coupon where you choose an appetizer or desert, plus two entrees for $20. Saw some mixed reviews here - 4 stars, 1 star - so wasn't sure what to expect. Decided to eat there 6pm on a Saturday. Got a very nice table close to the elephant and kitchen. Nice decor. Greeters and servers were very pleasant. Good wine list. Decent choice of entrees - lots of chicken dishes, a few fish, several steak, with tangy sides. Ordered the Fish Tacos, Crispy Teriaki Chicken and the Macadamia Nut Chicken with Shrimp skewers. Plus a nice glass of wine. Total was just over $30. The price of the entrees without the coupon also looked reasonable, so we will definitely be back!

I love the tomato bisque here - it is probably the best i have ever had. It is very creamy with little bits of tomato and basil. The ham/turkey club sandwich is one of the best sandwiches that I had in a long time. Tons of choices on the menu - sometimes it's hard to choose making me wish there was just a tad smaller menu. We tend to go in the off time so rarely have to wait for a table. The service is always spot on the the servers are always friendly.

I have had an indifferent "Ultimate Bacon Burger", a very disappointing "Pan Braised Rock Sugar Beef With Pappardelle Noodles", and perhaps the very best "Tomato Basil Bisque" I have ever eaten. I like the atmosphere at the Elephant Bar, and the service is usually fine. The management is attentive . . . I was making some negative comments to my dining a companions about the Beef Noodle dish, a passing by manager overheard me, and he had the kitchen remake the dish. It still was not especially tasty, but I did get a hot, fresh serving with more than 4 dry nuggets of beef on it. What keeps me coming back to Elephant Bar is the tomato soup. The next time I go, I am just going to order two bowls of this, eat them, see if I am still hungry, and consider ordering a third. From what I have seen, the "Half Turkey & Ham Focaccia Sandwich and Soup Combo" (Go Tomato!) is one of the best deals on the menu (the prices on many of the items at Elephant Bar do run on the steep side). Although I have not actually tried the Focaccia sandwich myself, my dining companions consistently order this.

I've been going here about once a month for a couple of years now with friends. Up until last weekend- I would have rated them five stars. The food had always been excellent, and the atmosphere nice, even if a bit crowded and loud. The last couple of visits, I noticed they cut their menu down quite a bit. They still had the stir-fry dishes I like, so it wasn't that big of a deal for me, but the menu definitely isn't as varied and eclectic as it used to be. This past weekend, I ordered on of my usual dishes- Crispy Teriyaki Stir-Fry (or something along those lines). It was overcooked, dry, and cold, even though it came rather quickly. The rice was also cold, and veggies were soggy. It was almost like I got someone else's food that had been sitting out for awhile. My friends said their food (salmon) was "excellent as always", and since I didn't want to make a big deal out of it or delay our plans for the evening- I just choked it down smiling. The service is good, not exceptional- but what I would expect from a "chain" bar/restaurant. They are very friendly and generally fast. I'll eat there again, but if I get another meal like last weekend's- I'm going to start suggesting to my friends that we look for another restaurant to meet at.

We've been here several times for family happy hour. Last time was a month ago for a family and friends get together after a funeral and they were very accommodating. Had a side room all set up for our group of 18-20 people and were on top of everything throughout our several hours there. They have a good selection and well priced apps during Happy Hour and a large selection of drinks as well that won't break your wallet. Surprisingly, they have quite a few menu items on the regular menu that are extremely low in calories but generously portioned which is nice! Staff is always pleasant and it's a nice change from the regular American restaurants.

For a chain, this place isn't bad. It has a wide-reaching menu, and the food is artfully delivered. I usually have the side of pear walnut & gorgonzola salad, which is fresh and flavorful, and the side of mac & cheese. Both of these provide a great lunch for me and good portions. The prices are reasonable- $3 for a side of mac & cheese and $4 for the salad. I usually sit in the bar at this location, and sometimes during lunch, when it is very busy, it takes a while to be acknowledged. But after that, it is usually smooth sailing.

Made a stop into this place twice for lunches, after work related morning site visits. My first thought when told this was where we were going to eat lunch at this place was that it sounds pricey. The place was clean, the waitstaff was courteous, the food was good, and the cost was about par for any other sit down place. The first time I believe I had the Smokehouse Chicken Sandwich. This is one healthy helping of a sandwich. Pretty good too. One of my coworkers had some chinese food that looked excellent. The second time I ate here I decided to go with the chinese food. Looked excellent, tasted ok, but it didn't compare to my favorite spot "Golden City Chinese". I would go back, only this time I will try something other than the chinese food.

Elephant Bar is pretty cute. I went once years ago, and then I stopped in for a snack the other day. I sat in the bar. The service was ok. I had a nice sauvignon blanc and then was left alone. Which I usually like, but I was trying to get something to eat. The server was busy, so I finally looked up the menu from their website and got the server's attention while she was passing by. I ordered the French Onion Soup. It was nice, but saltier than a lot of them I've had. The cheese was not fully melted. But the soup itself was nice. All in all, I liked Elephant Bar and would go back if someone suggested it., but I don't think I'd go out of my way to go there.

I've been here before with groups/events and never had any problems or concerns but never thought to write up a review until now. I made a last minute decision to have lunch here on 28Aug13. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a nice older gentleman, got a high table in the bar and was served promptly by the bar tender (Noah?). My drink stayed filled and my food order came quick, despite the fact that this was a busy lunch hour with MANY groups dining. I was checked on periodically by many and if this is customary, I appreciated it. You see I was dining alone and many times when I dine alone, I'm completely ignored. The staff was friendly and it helped me enjoy my lunch hour. The food was good (coleslaw was YUM) and the prices very reasonable (lunch hour specials).

There were 7 of us plus an baby for a birthday lunch. Service is good and the meals are ok. I have never been truely fond of this place but it is convenient and offers a lot of choices. We had everything from salads to sandwiches to even a rice bowl and a steak sandwich. I did mention when I walked in that we were celebrating 2 birthdays and I think it went in one ear and out the other. Supposedly they bring ice cream sundaes but not for us. Yesterday was my sons actual birthday. It was a bummer. Oh well. We have been celebrating for days now.

I came here on a business lunch last week. I was a little apprehensive since I don't normally eat at places that put glossy flyers in the weekly ad circular. This place was amazingly full, considering how many lunch options there are in the vicinity. Despite that, service was pretty fast. I ordered the blackened ahi tuna with tropical fruit salsa on a recommendation. It came with some steamed vegetables, which were a little salty for my taste. The ahi itself was fresh, but the dish overall seemed a little uninspired. I could have whipped something like this up at home; when I go out, I want to be inspired. My companion had the grilled Moroccan chicken breast. Again, nothing really wrong with it, but not the star of the show. My issue with Elephant Bar is that it tries to be all things to all people, kind of like Applebee's or the Cheesecake Factory, but with an Asian/global fusion approach. Everything on the menu is probably fine and focus group-tested, but you're not going to be raving about it the next day either.

On 10-22-2012 I visited and the service was terrible... I have no idea why. First my friend gets burn with the plate that was given to her with no warning about being hot. So my friend ask for the manager and mentions that fact that she got burn and the manager responded with "what do u want me to do?" follow by "if you want the food for free, that is not happening!" It's not a bad place for what it is, an pacific-asian fusion DTC bar with menu full of items with lots of fruity notes. If that's your thing, you'll probably like it. If you don't like sweet dishes, you'll hate it.

We've been to this location numerous times and have never been unhappy. I would've given this place 4 stars, but last nights' experience changed that. We were seated quickly but a very friendly (almost too friendly) hostess. Our server brought us our drinks (delish strawberry lemonade) and our appetizer arrived soon after. We ordered the salmon tempura roll. It was good, but we remember it tasting better during other visits. I ordered a shrimp dish and my husband ordered braised lamb. His dish was HORRENDOUS. It looked at tasted rubbery. My dish was above average and I enjoyed it. After the assistant server (I never know what to call the people who bring out your meals but aren't your server) brought our meals out, we never saw our server until the end of the meal. He apologized, saying he was serving an 8 person party. He asked how everything was and my husband told him the lamb was not good. The server apologized and quickly offered to take it off the bill and bring my husband something else. We were heading to a movie, and my husband was pretty full from the side dishes and the appetizer, so he didn't want anything else. The price was adjusted accordingly and we left. We would return to this location, as this was the first bad meal we encountered there.

Went to Happy Hour on a Thursday night and the place was packed - we snagged a table in the bar and grabbed some beverages and apps. You can get cocktails or a tall draft beer for $3 or $4 bucks and apps such as the artichoke dip - pretty good especially the chips, chicken tenders - pretty weird breading or tomato bruschetta a bit salty but for between $3.50-$6.50 you can get nibbles to easily share. Noise level was medium to high and the bill was minimal damage between the 7 of us. An easy place to meet up and catch up in the Tech Center - equipped for larger groups.

I found the interior design better than the food. It's just ok. The prices seemed a bit expensive for the food. Then, when I got to the food, it didn't seem like it was made with love (lame, I know). The chicken was kind of dry, and slightly rubbery, and the ribs were good, but not great. Also, do not order the fried rice! It has an awful taste, which I think comes from them using brown rice instead of white rice. If I wanted a healthy rice dish, I would have asked for the brown rice. I probably wont go here again, unless I have a coupon.

Sad sad, been going to elephant bar for years. Never been to this location & will never go back. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1, because service was good, food on the other hand was not up to elephant bar standards. My wedge salad with blue cheese was very watery. The sampler platter we got that we've been getting fit years was BAD artichoke dip dry, chips styal. When we asked for manager, waitress just credit or bill. But no manager ever showed up, she said she spoke to him. Yay right. Hint if customer ask for manager you get one. Sad to say ill never go back to elephant bar on Arapahoe

If the staff, service, and atmosphere weren't good, I wouldn't make it a weekly stop. I have a regular lunch meeting with a business partner due to its centrality for us both. I am a true foodie, a chef, and am writing a new cookbook, I have more than an idea of what makes good food great. I have ordered mongolian beef on more than one occasion, and though the plate is not outstanding, it is acceptable. Unfortunately, neither the cooks, sous, or executive chef know what a basic Asian seasoning, Hoi Sung is. This pepper oil is a staple seasoning. The wok dishes seem to be bathed in, rather than touched by oil, and it appears to be a canola or vegetable oil, rather than peanut oil. The closest I have been abl eto get to the pepper oil in there is a brown sauce, Sri Racha™, Tabasco™, or just ordering extra Chinese red peppers with the dish. I like things in the Szechuan style a good bit spicier than most. From now on I think I will just order a burger with jalapeños and call it a day. Or maybe a salad.

I live across the street from E-Bar, and it a good place to grab a meal, whether you're dining in or taking out. They have a large selection of tasty food, some of my favorites are: 1. Chicken Fingers (fresh and crispy) 2. Patty Melt 3. Tomato bisque 4. French Dip I've liked everything I had except the Ribs... it might have been a fluke, but they just weren't very well seasoned, it just seemed bland. I'll chalk that up to a fluke. Otherwise the service is usually quite good, it's a fun setting with odd knick knacks and posters and I always leave with a satisfied stomach.

My husband and I hear that this place is good from many. So we decided to give it a try. He took me out for a nice date. We got a shrimp sampler platter, 3 kinds of shrimp cooked 3 different ways, and calamari all to split. The calamari was overcooked and like rubber, but the breading was super soggy and not appetizing. The dips it came with weren't good either. We ate maybe 1/4 of it. The coconut fried shrimp that came with our meal were overcooked as well, and my first bite-- the shrimp wasn't clean! It has a dirty vein in it and we all know what's in that.. shrimp poo! I was extremely grossed out. So I was reluctant that our entire meal had shrimp. So each thing I tried I would look before I ate. I left hungry that day.. after spending a good amount of our money. We were thoroughly disappointed in the food and will not be returning.

Oh man, I haven't had Elephant Bar since my days out in San Fran years ago. I love it soooo much that you can imagine my delight when I found out there was a location right by the hotel we were staying at for my friends wedding!!! We all gathered up and put last minute wedding plans on hold as we devoured amazing food and drink!! The service was top notch. Six of us came and though it was really busy (Saturday night AND Homecoming), we were seated immediately. The waitress was absolutely awesome. Our drinks NEVER made it to empty before another was brought out to us! I ordered the Santa Barbara Burger (1/2lb burger with avocado on it. YUMMM). It was amazing. A little undercooked (i love well done) yet still amazing. Everyone ordered different dishes and I tried a little of the teriyaki chicken. Again, AMAZING. Last but not least, the garlic bread. WOW. just WOW. As far as drinks go, I went with the strawberry lemonade which has real strawberries pureed and mixed in. Best strawberry lemonade EVER. So glad I found this place in Colorado (where I'm at far more often than Cali)!!!

I grew up enjoying their location in Phoenix, now closed. I liked the decor and the interesting blend of Asian and American -- back before they used the word "fusion" to describe it. I was looking forward to checking them out again when I found a location still pumping away in Greenwood Village. Their strong suit is the rich and varied menu. The weak spot concerns the preparation of some of the items. The shrimp I had added to my pad thai tasted like WD40 or something. The restaurant was packed for lunch, even the bar was full. Since it was a business lunch and we were pressed for time, I didn't bother sending the shrimp back and left it for the landfill. My buddy had a burger and appeared very satisfied. I would think that a place that tried too hard to be too many things at once would be likely to be not very good at any particular dish or cuisine. That might be the case here. I'll probably go back, but it's not at the top of the list anymore.

Elephant bar puts the H in happy hour! Great menu choices for their happy hour ranging from $3 to $6 a plate. All the dishes are fresh and tasteful and not the typical greasy fried fare. For $4 get the Vietnamese shrimp spring rolls. Wrapped in rice paper you get two delectable rolls that have been cut in half. For more delightful freshness try the mozzarella with bruschetta tomatoes accompanied with pita chips. $5 will get you 6 pieces of tempura salmon roll that's cooked and served warm or a bowl of soy ginger calamari that's not fried beyond recognition. Instead they are decent size strips of calamari mixed with julienned vegetables and tossed in an amazing sauce. $6 will get my two favorites. Four skewers of coconut shrimp in a light crunchy batter and perfectly seared ahi tuna with ponzu sauce. And the drinks are not the norm either. Sure you can get a beer or glass of wine but better yet try the fresh mojitos, mai tai or long island ice tea for just $4. Just be sure to tell them easy on the ice.

I visited this place with my mom for a quick dinner during happy hour. I looked at the website at home and saw a happy hour food menu that looked somewhat promising. When we sat down we were given their regular menu and I was shocked at how expensive it was. This is a chain, folks, and we all know the main focus of chains is usually money not a passion for food and/or drink and it's patrons. Cue mediocre food and inflated prices I asked for the happy hour menu and the waiter appeared genuinely shocked that I knew about it?!?! We ordered the chicken and lettuce wraps, the buffalo chicken tenders and the macaroni and cheese. All 3 were regular sized menu items, 2 of which were nearly 1/2 price. The chicken and lettuce wraps were okay, not particularly flavorful or outstanding. PF Chang's chicken lettuce wraps are light years away. The buffalo chicken tenders were ultra ultra salty. Like woah. I'm the one at the table who adds salt to tortilla chips, so I'm not a salt snob. These were unusually salty. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good, but they put preservative coated whole croutons on top which made it look and taste tacky. I might return here to try some of the other happy hour food items, but I sure as hell wouldn't return and pay full price for their regular menu items. I'm disappointed with the lack of local places in what appears to be Denvurbia. Yuck. I feel sorry for y'all that live here and only have mediocre chains to choose from.

My review is based purely on Happy Hour at the bar, just FYI! Can you beat $2 Margaritas for Happy Hour!? I think not! Especially when the bartender has a heavy hand! In addition to that, they have several great happy hour options (both drinks and food) ranging from $2 - $6. And not just crappy, boring stuff either! The seared ahi looked delish, and the desserts rocked! Super friendly barstaff who kept our drinks full at all times - how much better can you get!?

The Elephant Bar has a great assortment of dishes, and that's part of what makes it great - for some people. Foodies might argue that the restaurant doesn't have a true identity, nothing that makes it "unique" as far as its fare is concerned. For the price you pay I'm sure they could give you more. I had the lobster sauce rainbow trout. The food was good, very flavorful and I enjoyed it; it just didn't stick around long after my visit meaning I was hungry again only a couple hours after. Didn't really care for their caesar dressing on my salad, I would probably stick with the house next time. I was a little turned off by having to scrape my fish from it's skin and the nice little fin that was left on it, but I got over it. Lots of menu variety here. Our service was excellent. The atmosphere is dark and moody, the decor is a celebration of African animals. Not the kind of place you'd bring a gaggle of kids but maybe a date?

So, I have been to the elephant bar many times before. however, not since the menu change. Tonight we decided to celebrate my husbands birthday there with our daughter. The hostess or door greeter was not very friendly and she seemed put out that I needed a booster chair for our daughter. Anyway, we get seated and the atmosphere felt odd. Our waiter was friendly enough and took our drink order, he came back with our drinks and we started out with the lettuce wraps (this is what my husband wanted to come for) the wraps turned out to be much fattier than we remembered which was a disappointment. On to our food order, the waiter did not give any suggestions right off the bat, which was fine, I am okay with it unless I am having a hard time deciding on something. At any rate most of our exchanges with our waiter were either awkward or confusing. I ended up ordering a build it yourself burger. I asked for a garden burger with cheese and thousand island dressing. The burger comes with lettuce tomato, pickles and onions. He got my order correct but when my burger came it was drowning in thousand island dressing the top of the burger was just sliding off, also the burger was stacked with so much lettuce that i I had to take most of it off. I told the waiter that I wasn't happy with the burger and he proceeded to tell me how the garden burger wasn't good unless you put a lot of BBQ sauce on it and how he burger tastes like oatmeal and is dry, gee, thanks for the tip. He did not offer to discount or replace the meal. in his defense I just tried to get through the burger. as much as I used to like going there,it has a strange atmosphere now and the staff seems to be either disgruntled or just do not care about service and food quality. It is a shame, this restaurant used to be so great. I am sad my husband was so disappointed on a special occasion. We will not be going back anytime soon.

We went again, this time with a larger party, 8 of us. A few of us arrived early and they already had our table reservation ready for us which was nice, but we hung in the bar for a few to enjoy a pretty decent happy hour. Their happy hour is only available in the bar, but it does have very good drink specials. Nice because some of their drinks are a bit pricey to begin with. Also many, if not all, their apps are on special. There wasn't much room in the bar so I asked the front desk if it was OK to order the apps in the bar and then take them to the table. I know some places frown upon this because happy hour is designed to get their bar traffic up during these times, but the manger on duty, Brad, said he would honor happy hour pricing at our table and not to worry about ordering them in the bar. Once we went to our table, service was initially slow, I think because of the time of day and servers were just coming in, but once they figured out who our server was, we received just the right amount of attention. The food was above average and their menu is extensive. Pretty much everyone can find something they'd like.

Elephant Bar has a theme restaurant feel. The decor is pleasant with dark woods, animal motifs, and kind of a up scale tropical feel. We found the menu selection to be extensive and the food exceptional. The Crab & Shrimp Louie Salad is loaded with fresh ingredients and as a "lighter side" entree only tips the scale at 710 calories. My wife had a skillfully prepared Grilled Rainbow Trout with brown rice and spinach with 690 calories. With a couple glasses of iced tea and our $7 discount coupon that came via the USPS we were out the door for $30 bucks. Our server also recommended we join the "Safari Club" to get more discounts. All around a very good experience!

Yes it's a great place for that metro feel. I love sitting near or in the bar because of the cool giraffes! Now the food here is good! My favorites are the coconut shrimp skewers and their creme brulee is VERY good! The main menu has so many good things that you can't go wrong with anything you choose. Visited Elephant Bar on 2/17 and was eating "Macadamia Nut crusted Mahi-Mahi" at around 6pm. VILOENTLY sick at midnight. Warning signs started when I noticed I was burping up "Mahi-Mahi" taste several hours after eating there. This is usually a bad sign. Severe watery diarrhea started at 11pm and continued thru 3am, Vomited several times around midnight - 6 hours after eating this swill. Sounds like food poisoning to me. It stopped me cold, and was in bed till 2pm next day with stomach cramps. Yikes. Strange, as I eat here all the time and I always get this Mahi-Mahi dish. Called the store and spoke to GM Drew, who seemed to take the issue seriously. He asked if it could be an allergic reaction. HA - I eat this dish all the time there. I have never known an allergic reaction to cause extreme diarrhea and vomiting. Drew is sending me a gift card to use on another visit but I don't know if I will risk it. The gift card may just go on EBAY. CAREFUL - eat here at your own risk.

Wow! I am very impressed. I went with an elderly relative and the waitstaff couldn't have been any more friendly. They went above and beyond to help her with anything she needed. The server was from the Lakewood location and was awesome! I had a crab/shrimp salad with mangos/grilled pineapples and it was so delicious and healthy! My relative had fish and chips and it was wonderful. The sweet potato fries were great! This is a great place!

Can't go wrong with Elephant Bar! Usually we go there for lunch with co-workers or with some girlfriends, I think we've done dinner there a few times also. Great drinks, giant menu with everything you can possibly think of, and great deserts. Most recently I had talapia with lobster sauce, brown rice, and veggies. It was fantastic!! Previous time I was there, my meal wasn't that great (some kind of a noodle dish), but overall it's a great place, and atmosphere is really nice, very beautiful decor, and very cozy.

Stopped in for happy hour on a Thurs, the place was pretty busy, but not waits. It was really authentic with jungle themed -upscale decorations and the kitchen is right there with half-walls so you can see what's going on in the back, interesting. They have an amazing happy hour menu til 7 (SWEET) with 3.50-6.50 food and 3-5 buck bevereages, (but you have to sit in the bar). They have a pretty big seating area though, but only very small tables for the bar seats, maybe 2-3 people could squeeze in, (the only reason I didnt' give them 5 stars, would be hard to get a small group of folks in for hh) they also have seating around the bar. We had the buffalo chicken tenders, which were a really good sized serving, the bf liked them pretty well, they were 5 or 6 large crispy tenders with buffalo sauce with ranch and carrots/celery for 4.50. We also split the sweet potato fries, with an amazing saucy dip, they werent a gigantic portion, but were served a cute paper vase piece. Snazzy. I had the tempura'd salmon roll, was 8 pieces, average sized roll and was very good. They serve it up with teriyaki-ish sweet sauce, soy, wasabu, just as you would expect at a sushi restaurant. I really liked it, and I was pleased with the serving size. They have tall domestics for 4bucks fancy drinks like mojito for 4bucks. The service was spectacular and we didnt' have to wait for anything, our waters were constantly being filled, and continued to be helpful and talkative, to us and other tables I noticed, even though there was a pretty full bar, and it looked like the 2 bartenders had the whole bar section, tables included, so I had to give a kudos to them for being attentive and on top of things and welcoming all at the same time of being pretty swamped (hard to find these days). We will definately be back to try out the rest of the menu, although I am digging the hh menu. I've heard good things about the mac n cheese and the burger/fries/beer combo for 6.50 sounds pretty sweet too.

We had a booth of six people and each had their own menus. We were bangin' menus into one another. Turning huge clipboards around to front and back to read menu. Then, there was an extra smaller cardboard menu or two included. If you order appetizers and have not decided on your meal yet, the GIANT MENUS are in the way. How can you place your appetizers and yet fit a Giant Clipboard Menu on the booth for six.... with six and a baby. Then..... unfortunately there was a "follicle" in a salad. So they gave the poor kid a free dessert. Shut that kid up with a freebie dessert. Come up with a standard, normal looking menu with fold-outs. (*‿*) But, I swear to God, the menu was about 3 feet high. We needed another table just for the MENUS! You could surf or snowboard on these!

Let's see - they raised the prices and lowered the quality! My chicken sandwich was hard as a rock and they did remake it and it was better. My friend had a loaded baked potato - how hard is it to serve a great baker? Well...they failed on this one too. I wasn't the only frustrated patron - the people on either side of me were equally unhappy with the new higher prices. A chicken sandwich is now $11.50 for that price I'd rather go to J Alexanders! Wednesday Happy Hour wine is now $5... it was $4 They no longer honor Seniors and happy hour only goes to 6PM... sorry - wish I had better news today...

Which was great for are party was from 70 yrs old to 12. They could have used more wait staff to help with service. We would go back if we were in the area again and time premitted.

love this place. love the people who work here. they are so friendly and accomodating. got plenty of choices for everyone. i have been sticking to my favorites as usual but loved most of there offering. tonight was even better. while waiting for friend to arrive, we were frequently visited by our waitress to makesure we were all taken care of. when she had to switch her duties, she came to apologize and also introduced waitress who was gonna take care of us. she was also very friendly and accomodating. when one of our friend needed extra sauces for her salad, she gladly obliged and brought it out. over all, food was ok but service was exceptional.

I came here with my family last weekend. I've eaten here once before that. I don't really remember much of it, except that it was great! We got the fried green beans as an appetizer. I only had a few of them and they were good. It came with a cheesy dipping sauce. I ended up getting the soup and salad combo because I figured it would be the least amount of damage calorie wise. It wasn't too bad. My food was good, but my parents and sister however... My mom ordered the Salmon salad and said it definitely wasn't as good as it used to be, and they took her favorite dish off of the menu. My step dad ordered one of the burgers and told the waitress he wanted it medium well. It came out almost rare. Barely even cooked, it looked disgusting! We had to wait for them to cook a whole new one. My younger sister is a vegetarian and ordered the kids burger with a veggie patty. It came out as a regular burger! We had to send hers back as well, and had to wait for a whole new one to be cooked. 2 of us had food, and 2 of us didn't. We all had to wait another 10 minutes to eat because of these errors. The waitress said it was only her second week. She had forgotten to put in the veggie burger, and the cooks were the ones who messed up the burger. The manager came over and thankfully took both of their dinners off of our bill. They were very apologetic about all of it and we were very grateful for that. I don't think we will be returning anytime soon. This place used to be so good, I'm not really sure what happened.

What can I say about this great restaurant! Today I had a server ned Amber and she was incredible. What a fantastic experience! She explained all the gluten, dairy, soy options and knew her menu items so well it was refreshing. I had the lettuce wraps which are actually an appetizer and they were flavorful and filling for an entree. I love this place and plan on returning.

Bar is always dead and patrons that do go are kinda edgy. The inside is odd. Kinda between African but not really??? Went for a quick lunch since I had a coupon for a two course meal for two for $20. Started off with a Negra Modelo beer and then a Macadamia Encrusted Chicken with a skewer of shrimp and my daughter got the Petit Sirloin with a Baked Potato. To end the meal we had creme brûlée--very tasty and a good portion. All in all, a very good meal for the price. Looks like they also have a good Happy Hour, both in the afternoon and late in the evening. Will have to come back and try it.

The prices are decent in which for lunch two people with tip and sodas can spend less than $30. The place is clean and the staff is friendly, so take the family or that special here for a meal.

My parents have been coming here for a while and they always wanted to invite us (my husband and myself) to this place. I was never really interested as I believe if you want a good hamburger you go to a burger place, if you want pizza you go to a pizzeria, if you're craving indian food you visit an indian restaurant. Anyways, for Valentines Day we gave in and accepted the invitation. Should've known better and should've stayed at come and just cook. Food was terrible. The burger was full of grease and Of course grease dripping everywhere, bun was soggy and disgusting. Yes, I should've known better but honestly I have no idea what else I could've eaten here since nothing was appealing enough for me. What a waste of time and money to even come here. I'm sure that I will never ever come here again. The wait staff was very nice though but that's the only positive thing I can say about this place. Unfortunate that I have to give such a poor rating.

Had lunch here today with a friend. We both had hamburgers. I ordered mine Medium and his was ordered Medium Well. His was cooked Well Done and mine was closer to Medium Rare. Otherwise, the burgers were tasty and the service (Major was the waiter), was fast and friendly. We shared some onion rings as an app which were a little greasy and probably would have been better had they been left in the fryer another minute or so, they were a little under cooked. The fries that came with the burgers were fresh, crispy and very good. All in all, the best burger we have found so far in Greenwood Village, so we will be back.

First time there today. It was lunch time and the place was busy. Ordered the Cobb salad. Server was nice but the food took a long time to come out. The bacon on my salad were hard as rocks and small like bacon bits. The lettuce was a joke, mostly was the hearts of iceberg lettuce. Possibly the worse part of lettuce. The chicken was cold and in small cubes and the Gorgonzola was minimal. Zoup offers a better Cobb salad for less! I won't be returning.

Don't get me wrong, the wait staff was nice and courteous as they have been in the past. The problem with my most recent visit was the quality of the food. It took 10 mins after ordering for my fiancée and myself for our good to arrive which is a bad sign from the get go. Upon receiving our food, it was obvious that our food was a day or more old and had been quickly warmed up in the kitchen. The baked potato was impossible to cut though and our steak was over cooked, dry and rubbery suggesting it had been reheated at least once. We had fully intended to try a dessert, but thought better of it after the extremely subpar main entree.

You know what I love? Menus with pictures, it's just visually stimulating and makes the dining experience fun. You know what I don't love? Menus with pictures that gives you false expectations of what to expect. I went here for a business lunch last week and was amazed with the menu--pictures along with tasty sounding (and looking) items that had me flip flopping from one item to another! I soon decided on the Thai-High Sweet & Zesty Chicken Salad since it looked absolutely amazing in the picture. Soon enough our food was there and I was thinking "Where the hell is the rest of my salad?" The salad they gave me (supposedly the Thai-High Sweet & Zesty Chicken Salad) was a weak looking bowl of iceberg lettuce, random bits of chicken and dressing. Again, where the hell is the rest of my salad? The picture on the menu displayed an actual salad that looked vibrant with colors and vegetables. Since I was on a business lunch I didn't want to be that girl requesting a new salad so I begrudgingly ate my salad but I wasn't happy with it. It was the saddest salad I've ever had. I wouldn't make a special trip here but if someone were paying for me I might go again!

I really wish I could give this place an extra star because I am really in between 3 and 4. I had been wanting to try this place for a long time, ever since I saw the other location at Belmar. I finally was out the other night and debating between restaurants in the DTC area and decided to come here to try it out. It somewhat reminded me of a Chedders. We sat in the dining area that faced the bar. I liked that the bar was circular, seems like it would be a good place if you were going to watch a game or just hang out for some drinks, I was expecting this place to look like an African Safari of some sort and I wasn't disappointed by the decor. There were large giraffes and a huge elephant on the wall (photo posted). The server came over and was extremely friendly, we talked briefly about the tragic Super Bowl and then she gave us time to look over the extensive menu, there were a ton of options for appetizers and entres. It's easy for me to get overwhelmed with that many options but we decided on the coconut shrimp skewers, they were pretty good and the portion size was good.. For an entre I ordered the Ahi Seared Tuna Salad and my date ordered the Mongolian Beef. The portions are large, but the pricing is a little bit steep. I didn't find that the flavor was fantastic but I would definitely come back to try out a few other things. Again, this place really just reminds me of a Cheddars, a little bit pricey for being a chain though. I'll give it another shot, maybe we can get one more star. We'll see.

I often forget this Elephant Bar exists. It's kind of off the beaten path, even for suburbia, so you can pass it a few times a week and forget that it's there. I do love the menu selections here, the Teriyaki Chicken has been a staple menu item in my life for the last few visits because the flavor is so fantastic. I had the tomato basil bisque with a small pear/walnut/gorgonzola salad on my last visit here and wow. Amazing. The soup was really flavorful and the salad had the right amount of everything.

This is a place I have driven by over the years, but never actually gone too. My Grandmother loves it. The only other people who have told me about it are happy hour workers, so I really had no idea if it was going to my kinda place based on those reviews! Still, we got a gift card to the place and figured, well for a free meal why not! We started with the spinach and artichoke dip. It was tasty and they didn't skimp on the chips (tortilla). For dinner I had the french dip with a side of mac n cheese. The sandwich had good crusty bread, but the meat was just so-so (not a lot of flavor there) and I found myself using a lot of au jus to infuse some taste. The mac n cheese was creamy and good. I didn't care for the salad croutons they plopped on top, seemed like an afterthought. Other than that, the booths were nice and big, the service was very attentive and it was a decent place to go on a gift card! I am not sure I would be back, but it had a wide enough menu I might just try something else if I am in that neck of the woods.

It's been a long time since I originally reviewed the Elephant Bar. I've been a repeat customer since then, as EB has become one of my steadfast favorites. The menu is extensive with new offerings at a respectable pace; no overwhelming menu revisions like similar chains. I'm a fan of the salads, sweet potato fries, & macadamia crusted Mahi. I tend to stick to my staples and have only been let down once. I did have a very sub-par, strange experience dining last week. It's really too much to go into, and not even worth explaining, because the assistant manager Patrick went above & beyond to make amends & correct the issue. The service I received from Patrick was compassionate, concerned, and incredibly respectful. My experience was a good reminder as to how important it is to alert management when you have an issue, even if that requires contacting the business a few days after your visit. My experience almost ruined my relationship with EB, but the response I received was phenomenal & I will continue to visit Elephant Bar. Thanks Patrick!!

I've been coming to this restaurant for many years with my family but my last three visits have been awful, specifically the service, and I won't be coming back. Tonight we arrived at around 9, the restaurant almost empty. We ordered calamari as an app and also ordered diner. The app came out right away but after finishing the app, we waited another 30 minutes for our meal. At that time our waiter disappeared - literally. We never saw him the rest of the night. After finishing our meal we waited 20 minutes for the check and I finally had to get up and walk in to the kitchen and ask someone to bring it to us. Our waiter was no where to be found and it was easily almost an hour AFTER our meal was finished before we were able to leave. Food was pretty good but since I've had similar experiences on our last several visits, I won't be back. 2 stars for the food.

I had eaten at this chain once in the past and could not remember why I would not go back. Now I know. Please avoid this chain if you have any food sensitivities. I had the french onion soup without anything else but plain iced tea. I knew while I was eating (at a business lunch) that I was in trouble because of the metallic taste in my mouth, I don't believe I have had as much MSG at one sitting as I did with this "soup." I developed a headache and stomach upset that lasted over 15 hours-I awoke in the middle of the night belching the soup. Maybe there were other preservatives I could not identify. I make french onion soup-it is a no brainer that requires simple ingredients. I usually avoid chains because of the preservatives in the food and this restaurant merely proved my point.

Great food, good service, but a little slow on getting tables ready. The food selection here is amazing and the cooks do a great job implementing the recipes. Try the Kung Pow Shrimp, or Strip Steak sandwich if you are going the first time as it will give you a great idea of what food they have. Management does not have enough servers to take care of a packed dinner service anytime we go, therefore give yourself an hour to get your food when you first arrive. Very close to 5 stars, but the location manager must take the time to get service done.

I was not impressed. While the actual restaurant was beautiful the service was terrible. I took my family for a birthday dinner and dinning with kids is stressful enough without having a disappearing waitress. I'm not sure if she was on a break but she was sitting in a booth chatting with someone the first 20 minutes she was MIA and then who knows the second time we couldn't find her for over 15 minutes when we wanted to order dessert. If it wasn't a birthday I would have said screw dessert. The food was okay. I had a wedge salad with runny ranch dressing. My family members had a ribeye and they liked and said was cooked well. Another had the Tri- tip which she said tasted and was the texture of pho meat. We should of just for pho. My drink was tasty and refreshing it was a ginger splash type of drink. Over all it was a disappointing birthday dinner.

A work vendor gave me a gift card so we thought we'd try Elephant Bar for dinner one night. The service was excellent and the food was so-so. We got the spinach artichoke dip for the app, and it was good. I had the steak sandwich. I ordered it well-done and it wasn't really, but the flavor was still okay. It wasn't the best thing I've ever eaten, but not the worst either ,hence the 3 stars. Not sure if I'd be back without another free gift card, but I wouldn't turn it down either!

This place is big. I heard the martinis are great but I didn't order anything of the sort, there with my child, such as I was. I had the tempura salmon roll and while it tasted good it fell apart in chunks when dipped in the shoyu, which was disheartening. People need to learn how to properly roll sushi is all I'm saying. There's nothing like fishing out grains of rice from the soy sauce bowl. Sigh. My child had the Thai chicken salad which she promptly hated. I think it's because, shock of shocks, there were actual vegetables in it. I tried it however and thought it was certainly fine enough. My entree was the tempura mahi sandwich which was standard, I guess, sort of what you expect at a chain-type place. Tasty if not bland, hearty if not fulfilling. I'll go back and try the bar some day, but all in, based on my one experience, I wasn't overly thrilled. It was just good enough.

I had the lamb shanks. The food was quite excellent and very filing. It was a fair price and I do like the décor. The theme is 'elephant' as the name refers to. The lamb shanks were very big and I could not finish the entire dish. The theme was modern and it was one notch above an Outback Steakhouse. The parking was not an issue. It's easy to find off the main road. I would recommend coming here. There is a large alcohol menu if one is into that.

i really like this place. they have a menu equipped with nutritional info online. if you're a weight watcher like me, it's easy to go prepared. the atmosphere is so cute and fun. i love the decorating and the moving fans are such a conversation piece. the menu is huge and has a little something for everyone. in my pms haze on thursday, i ordered a french dip with fries (don't worry fellow ww, i only ate 1/2 of it) and MY was it TASTY. my friend got an amazing looking chicken dish. i look forward to going back and trying the asian delights. andrew was a very attentive and sweet server. he was knowledeable and professiona and kept my diet coke filled through the duration of our visit. the parking lot is a little insane at lunch, but honestly, that's my only complaint. enjoy!

I used an email preferred customer coupon to try out the elephant bar with my family. Boy, was that a mistake.....now it's the ONLY place they want to go. Fresh food, lots of taste. I am going to guess we've been there twelve times this month? We haven't gotten a bad meal, yet, and I've been trying them all. Honestly, perhaps laughably, my husband broke his nose and has no sense of smell, and a limited ability to taste. This was the only place that had enough flavor in the food that he can taste the food. How's that for an honest review? Guess we'll be hanging out there as long as he needs to eat to stay alive.

Long time to order, later arriving guests sitting across from us got their order sooner than us, and then when we wanted to pay and leave, waited and waited for the check, and then another 10 min without even seeing the "server" so we went to the front to see if they would take our money since the "server" obviously didn't want it. While the young man was processing our CC, and we were finally signing the bill, she came to the front and was very snooty, "I'm sorry I wasn't fast enough for you". Got a coupon where you choose an appetizer or desert, plus two entrees for $20. Saw some mixed reviews here - 4 stars, 1 star - so wasn't sure what to expect. Decided to eat there 6pm on a Saturday. Got a very nice table close to the elephant and kitchen. Nice decor. Greeters and servers were very pleasant. Good wine list. Decent choice of entrees - lots of chicken dishes, a few fish, several steak, with tangy sides. Ordered the Fish Tacos, Crispy Teriaki Chicken and the Macadamia Nut Chicken with Shrimp skewers. Plus a nice glass of wine. Total was just over $30. The price of the entrees without the coupon also looked reasonable, so we will definitely be back!

I love the tomato bisque here - it is probably the best i have ever had. It is very creamy with little bits of tomato and basil. The ham/turkey club sandwich is one of the best sandwiches that I had in a long time. Tons of choices on the menu - sometimes it's hard to choose making me wish there was just a tad smaller menu. We tend to go in the off time so rarely have to wait for a table. The service is always spot on the the servers are always friendly.

I have had an indifferent "Ultimate Bacon Burger", a very disappointing "Pan Braised Rock Sugar Beef With Pappardelle Noodles", and perhaps the very best "Tomato Basil Bisque" I have ever eaten. I like the atmosphere at the Elephant Bar, and the service is usually fine. The management is attentive . . . I was making some negative comments to my dining a companions about the Beef Noodle dish, a passing by manager overheard me, and he had the kitchen remake the dish. It still was not especially tasty, but I did get a hot, fresh serving with more than 4 dry nuggets of beef on it. What keeps me coming back to Elephant Bar is the tomato soup. The next time I go, I am just going to order two bowls of this, eat them, see if I am still hungry, and consider ordering a third. From what I have seen, the "Half Turkey & Ham Focaccia Sandwich and Soup Combo" (Go Tomato!) is one of the best deals on the menu (the prices on many of the items at Elephant Bar do run on the steep side). Although I have not actually tried the Focaccia sandwich myself, my dining companions consistently order this.

I've been going here about once a month for a couple of years now with friends. Up until last weekend- I would have rated them five stars. The food had always been excellent, and the atmosphere nice, even if a bit crowded and loud. The last couple of visits, I noticed they cut their menu down quite a bit. They still had the stir-fry dishes I like, so it wasn't that big of a deal for me, but the menu definitely isn't as varied and eclectic as it used to be. This past weekend, I ordered on of my usual dishes- Crispy Teriyaki Stir-Fry (or something along those lines). It was overcooked, dry, and cold, even though it came rather quickly. The rice was also cold, and veggies were soggy. It was almost like I got someone else's food that had been sitting out for awhile. My friends said their food (salmon) was "excellent as always", and since I didn't want to make a big deal out of it or delay our plans for the evening- I just choked it down smiling. The service is good, not exceptional- but what I would expect from a "chain" bar/restaurant. They are very friendly and generally fast. I'll eat there again, but if I get another meal like last weekend's- I'm going to start suggesting to my friends that we look for another restaurant to meet at.

We've been here several times for family happy hour. Last time was a month ago for a family and friends get together after a funeral and they were very accommodating. Had a side room all set up for our group of 18-20 people and were on top of everything throughout our several hours there. They have a good selection and well priced apps during Happy Hour and a large selection of drinks as well that won't break your wallet. Surprisingly, they have quite a few menu items on the regular menu that are extremely low in calories but generously portioned which is nice! Staff is always pleasant and it's a nice change from the regular American restaurants.

For a chain, this place isn't bad. It has a wide-reaching menu, and the food is artfully delivered. I usually have the side of pear walnut & gorgonzola salad, which is fresh and flavorful, and the side of mac & cheese. Both of these provide a great lunch for me and good portions. The prices are reasonable- $3 for a side of mac & cheese and $4 for the salad. I usually sit in the bar at this location, and sometimes during lunch, when it is very busy, it takes a while to be acknowledged. But after that, it is usually smooth sailing.

Made a stop into this place twice for lunches, after work related morning site visits. My first thought when told this was where we were going to eat lunch at this place was that it sounds pricey. The place was clean, the waitstaff was courteous, the food was good, and the cost was about par for any other sit down place. The first time I believe I had the Smokehouse Chicken Sandwich. This is one healthy helping of a sandwich. Pretty good too. One of my coworkers had some chinese food that looked excellent. The second time I ate here I decided to go with the chinese food. Looked excellent, tasted ok, but it didn't compare to my favorite spot "Golden City Chinese". I would go back, only this time I will try something other than the chinese food.

Elephant Bar is pretty cute. I went once years ago, and then I stopped in for a snack the other day. I sat in the bar. The service was ok. I had a nice sauvignon blanc and then was left alone. Which I usually like, but I was trying to get something to eat. The server was busy, so I finally looked up the menu from their website and got the server's attention while she was passing by. I ordered the French Onion Soup. It was nice, but saltier than a lot of them I've had. The cheese was not fully melted. But the soup itself was nice. All in all, I liked Elephant Bar and would go back if someone suggested it., but I don't think I'd go out of my way to go there.

I've been here before with groups/events and never had any problems or concerns but never thought to write up a review until now. I made a last minute decision to have lunch here on 28Aug13. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a nice older gentleman, got a high table in the bar and was served promptly by the bar tender (Noah?). My drink stayed filled and my food order came quick, despite the fact that this was a busy lunch hour with MANY groups dining. I was checked on periodically by many and if this is customary, I appreciated it. You see I was dining alone and many times when I dine alone, I'm completely ignored. The staff was friendly and it helped me enjoy my lunch hour. The food was good (coleslaw was YUM) and the prices very reasonable (lunch hour specials).

There were 7 of us plus an baby for a birthday lunch. Service is good and the meals are ok. I have never been truely fond of this place but it is convenient and offers a lot of choices. We had everything from salads to sandwiches to even a rice bowl and a steak sandwich. I did mention when I walked in that we were celebrating 2 birthdays and I think it went in one ear and out the other. Supposedly they bring ice cream sundaes but not for us. Yesterday was my sons actual birthday. It was a bummer. Oh well. We have been celebrating for days now.

I came here on a business lunch last week. I was a little apprehensive since I don't normally eat at places that put glossy flyers in the weekly ad circular. This place was amazingly full, considering how many lunch options there are in the vicinity. Despite that, service was pretty fast. I ordered the blackened ahi tuna with tropical fruit salsa on a recommendation. It came with some steamed vegetables, which were a little salty for my taste. The ahi itself was fresh, but the dish overall seemed a little uninspired. I could have whipped something like this up at home; when I go out, I want to be inspired. My companion had the grilled Moroccan chicken breast. Again, nothing really wrong with it, but not the star of the show. My issue with Elephant Bar is that it tries to be all things to all people, kind of like Applebee's or the Cheesecake Factory, but with an Asian/global fusion approach. Everything on the menu is probably fine and focus group-tested, but you're not going to be raving about it the next day either.

On 10-22-2012 I visited and the service was terrible... I have no idea why. First my friend gets burn with the plate that was given to her with no warning about being hot. So my friend ask for the manager and mentions that fact that she got burn and the manager responded with "what do u want me to do?" follow by "if you want the food for free, that is not happening!" It's not a bad place for what it is, an pacific-asian fusion DTC bar with menu full of items with lots of fruity notes. If that's your thing, you'll probably like it. If you don't like sweet dishes, you'll hate it.

We've been to this location numerous times and have never been unhappy. I would've given this place 4 stars, but last nights' experience changed that. We were seated quickly but a very friendly (almost too friendly) hostess. Our server brought us our drinks (delish strawberry lemonade) and our appetizer arrived soon after. We ordered the salmon tempura roll. It was good, but we remember it tasting better during other visits. I ordered a shrimp dish and my husband ordered braised lamb. His dish was HORRENDOUS. It looked at tasted rubbery. My dish was above average and I enjoyed it. After the assistant server (I never know what to call the people who bring out your meals but aren't your server) brought our meals out, we never saw our server until the end of the meal. He apologized, saying he was serving an 8 person party. He asked how everything was and my husband told him the lamb was not good. The server apologized and quickly offered to take it off the bill and bring my husband something else. We were heading to a movie, and my husband was pretty full from the side dishes and the appetizer, so he didn't want anything else. The price was adjusted accordingly and we left. We would return to this location, as this was the first bad meal we encountered there.

Went to Happy Hour on a Thursday night and the place was packed - we snagged a table in the bar and grabbed some beverages and apps. You can get cocktails or a tall draft beer for $3 or $4 bucks and apps such as the artichoke dip - pretty good especially the chips, chicken tenders - pretty weird breading or tomato bruschetta a bit salty but for between $3.50-$6.50 you can get nibbles to easily share. Noise level was medium to high and the bill was minimal damage between the 7 of us. An easy place to meet up and catch up in the Tech Center - equipped for larger groups.

I found the interior design better than the food. It's just ok. The prices seemed a bit expensive for the food. Then, when I got to the food, it didn't seem like it was made with love (lame, I know). The chicken was kind of dry, and slightly rubbery, and the ribs were good, but not great. Also, do not order the fried rice! It has an awful taste, which I think comes from them using brown rice instead of white rice. If I wanted a healthy rice dish, I would have asked for the brown rice. I probably wont go here again, unless I have a coupon.

Sad sad, been going to elephant bar for years. Never been to this location & will never go back. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1, because service was good, food on the other hand was not up to elephant bar standards. My wedge salad with blue cheese was very watery. The sampler platter we got that we've been getting fit years was BAD artichoke dip dry, chips styal. When we asked for manager, waitress just credit or bill. But no manager ever showed up, she said she spoke to him. Yay right. Hint if customer ask for manager you get one. Sad to say ill never go back to elephant bar on Arapahoe

If the staff, service, and atmosphere weren't good, I wouldn't make it a weekly stop. I have a regular lunch meeting with a business partner due to its centrality for us both. I am a true foodie, a chef, and am writing a new cookbook, I have more than an idea of what makes good food great. I have ordered mongolian beef on more than one occasion, and though the plate is not outstanding, it is acceptable. Unfortunately, neither the cooks, sous, or executive chef know what a basic Asian seasoning, Hoi Sung is. This pepper oil is a staple seasoning. The wok dishes seem to be bathed in, rather than touched by oil, and it appears to be a canola or vegetable oil, rather than peanut oil. The closest I have been abl eto get to the pepper oil in there is a brown sauce, Sri Racha™, Tabasco™, or just ordering extra Chinese red peppers with the dish. I like things in the Szechuan style a good bit spicier than most. From now on I think I will just order a burger with jalapeños and call it a day. Or maybe a salad.

I live across the street from E-Bar, and it a good place to grab a meal, whether you're dining in or taking out. They have a large selection of tasty food, some of my favorites are: 1. Chicken Fingers (fresh and crispy) 2. Patty Melt 3. Tomato bisque 4. French Dip I've liked everything I had except the Ribs... it might have been a fluke, but they just weren't very well seasoned, it just seemed bland. I'll chalk that up to a fluke. Otherwise the service is usually quite good, it's a fun setting with odd knick knacks and posters and I always leave with a satisfied stomach.

My husband and I hear that this place is good from many. So we decided to give it a try. He took me out for a nice date. We got a shrimp sampler platter, 3 kinds of shrimp cooked 3 different ways, and calamari all to split. The calamari was overcooked and like rubber, but the breading was super soggy and not appetizing. The dips it came with weren't good either. We ate maybe 1/4 of it. The coconut fried shrimp that came with our meal were overcooked as well, and my first bite-- the shrimp wasn't clean! It has a dirty vein in it and we all know what's in that.. shrimp poo! I was extremely grossed out. So I was reluctant that our entire meal had shrimp. So each thing I tried I would look before I ate. I left hungry that day.. after spending a good amount of our money. We were thoroughly disappointed in the food and will not be returning.

Oh man, I haven't had Elephant Bar since my days out in San Fran years ago. I love it soooo much that you can imagine my delight when I found out there was a location right by the hotel we were staying at for my friends wedding!!! We all gathered up and put last minute wedding plans on hold as we devoured amazing food and drink!! The service was top notch. Six of us came and though it was really busy (Saturday night AND Homecoming), we were seated immediately. The waitress was absolutely awesome. Our drinks NEVER made it to empty before another was brought out to us! I ordered the Santa Barbara Burger (1/2lb burger with avocado on it. YUMMM). It was amazing. A little undercooked (i love well done) yet still amazing. Everyone ordered different dishes and I tried a little of the teriyaki chicken. Again, AMAZING. Last but not least, the garlic bread. WOW. just WOW. As far as drinks go, I went with the strawberry lemonade which has real strawberries pureed and mixed in. Best strawberry lemonade EVER. So glad I found this place in Colorado (where I'm at far more often than Cali)!!!

I grew up enjoying their location in Phoenix, now closed. I liked the decor and the interesting blend of Asian and American -- back before they used the word "fusion" to describe it. I was looking forward to checking them out again when I found a location still pumping away in Greenwood Village. Their strong suit is the rich and varied menu. The weak spot concerns the preparation of some of the items. The shrimp I had added to my pad thai tasted like WD40 or something. The restaurant was packed for lunch, even the bar was full. Since it was a business lunch and we were pressed for time, I didn't bother sending the shrimp back and left it for the landfill. My buddy had a burger and appeared very satisfied. I would think that a place that tried too hard to be too many things at once would be likely to be not very good at any particular dish or cuisine. That might be the case here. I'll probably go back, but it's not at the top of the list anymore.

Elephant bar puts the H in happy hour! Great menu choices for their happy hour ranging from $3 to $6 a plate. All the dishes are fresh and tasteful and not the typical greasy fried fare. For $4 get the Vietnamese shrimp spring rolls. Wrapped in rice paper you get two delectable rolls that have been cut in half. For more delightful freshness try the mozzarella with bruschetta tomatoes accompanied with pita chips. $5 will get you 6 pieces of tempura salmon roll that's cooked and served warm or a bowl of soy ginger calamari that's not fried beyond recognition. Instead they are decent size strips of calamari mixed with julienned vegetables and tossed in an amazing sauce. $6 will get my two favorites. Four skewers of coconut shrimp in a light crunchy batter and perfectly seared ahi tuna with ponzu sauce. And the drinks are not the norm either. Sure you can get a beer or glass of wine but better yet try the fresh mojitos, mai tai or long island ice tea for just $4. Just be sure to tell them easy on the ice.

I visited this place with my mom for a quick dinner during happy hour. I looked at the website at home and saw a happy hour food menu that looked somewhat promising. When we sat down we were given their regular menu and I was shocked at how expensive it was. This is a chain, folks, and we all know the main focus of chains is usually money not a passion for food and/or drink and it's patrons. Cue mediocre food and inflated prices I asked for the happy hour menu and the waiter appeared genuinely shocked that I knew about it?!?! We ordered the chicken and lettuce wraps, the buffalo chicken tenders and the macaroni and cheese. All 3 were regular sized menu items, 2 of which were nearly 1/2 price. The chicken and lettuce wraps were okay, not particularly flavorful or outstanding. PF Chang's chicken lettuce wraps are light years away. The buffalo chicken tenders were ultra ultra salty. Like woah. I'm the one at the table who adds salt to tortilla chips, so I'm not a salt snob. These were unusually salty. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good, but they put preservative coated whole croutons on top which made it look and taste tacky. I might return here to try some of the other happy hour food items, but I sure as hell wouldn't return and pay full price for their regular menu items. I'm disappointed with the lack of local places in what appears to be Denvurbia. Yuck. I feel sorry for y'all that live here and only have mediocre chains to choose from.

My review is based purely on Happy Hour at the bar, just FYI! Can you beat $2 Margaritas for Happy Hour!? I think not! Especially when the bartender has a heavy hand! In addition to that, they have several great happy hour options (both drinks and food) ranging from $2 - $6. And not just crappy, boring stuff either! The seared ahi looked delish, and the desserts rocked! Super friendly barstaff who kept our drinks full at all times - how much better can you get!?

Although, I was a little disappointed because I wasn't aware how heavily-sided their food options are to Asian/Pacific items. The Elephant Bar has a great assortment of dishes, and that's part of what makes it great - for some people. Foodies might argue that the restaurant doesn't have a true identity, nothing that makes it "unique" as far as its fare is concerned. The menu is huge and offers anything from Asian-fusion to typical American. Either way, it has a lovely atmosphere and the food is consistently good. Service is always friendly as well. Good for a date night or for drinks with friends.

For the price you pay I'm sure they could give you more. I had the lobster sauce rainbow trout. The food was good, very flavorful and I enjoyed it; it just didn't stick around long after my visit meaning I was hungry again only a couple hours after. Didn't really care for their caesar dressing on my salad, I would probably stick with the house next time. I was a little turned off by having to scrape my fish from it's skin and the nice little fin that was left on it, but I got over it. Lots of menu variety here. Our service was excellent. The atmosphere is dark and moody, the decor is a celebration of African animals. Not the kind of place you'd bring a gaggle of kids but maybe a date?

I've always had a good experience at Elephant Bar, which I first discovered living in Vegas. I love how extensive the menu is so I can go with a group of people and we can all find something we like. They have an amazing salad selection and great coctails. It's not as cheap as TGIF's, but I think it's worth it.

So, I have been to the elephant bar many times before. however, not since the menu change. Tonight we decided to celebrate my husbands birthday there with our daughter. The hostess or door greeter was not very friendly and she seemed put out that I needed a booster chair for our daughter. Anyway, we get seated and the atmosphere felt odd. Our waiter was friendly enough and took our drink order, he came back with our drinks and we started out with the lettuce wraps (this is what my husband wanted to come for) the wraps turned out to be much fattier than we remembered which was a disappointment. On to our food order, the waiter did not give any suggestions right off the bat, which was fine, I am okay with it unless I am having a hard time deciding on something. At any rate most of our exchanges with our waiter were either awkward or confusing. I ended up ordering a build it yourself burger. I asked for a garden burger with cheese and thousand island dressing. The burger comes with lettuce tomato, pickles and onions. He got my order correct but when my burger came it was drowning in thousand island dressing the top of the burger was just sliding off, also the burger was stacked with so much lettuce that i I had to take most of it off. I told the waiter that I wasn't happy with the burger and he proceeded to tell me how the garden burger wasn't good unless you put a lot of BBQ sauce on it and how he burger tastes like oatmeal and is dry, gee, thanks for the tip. He did not offer to discount or replace the meal. in his defense I just tried to get through the burger. as much as I used to like going there,it has a strange atmosphere now and the staff seems to be either disgruntled or just do not care about service and food quality. It is a shame, this restaurant used to be so great. I am sad my husband was so disappointed on a special occasion. We will not be going back anytime soon.

Food was good. It just wasn't what i ordered.. Twice.. Me: "How is the Crispy Honey Orange Shrimp" Server: "I haven't had it, but it is very popular and people seem to like it" Me: "I'll take it." Co-workers have finished or are close to finishing their meal. Server: "Here you go" I look at my plate. Crispy Honey Orange CHICKEN! ARGH! I ate it. It was good. I wanted shrimp.

We went again, this time with a larger party, 8 of us. A few of us arrived early and they already had our table reservation ready for us which was nice, but we hung in the bar for a few to enjoy a pretty decent happy hour. Their happy hour is only available in the bar, but it does have very good drink specials. Nice because some of their drinks are a bit pricey to begin with. Also many, if not all, their apps are on special. There wasn't much room in the bar so I asked the front desk if it was OK to order the apps in the bar and then take them to the table. I know some places frown upon this because happy hour is designed to get their bar traffic up during these times, but the manger on duty, Brad, said he would honor happy hour pricing at our table and not to worry about ordering them in the bar. Once we went to our table, service was initially slow, I think because of the time of day and servers were just coming in, but once they figured out who our server was, we received just the right amount of attention. The food was above average and their menu is extensive. Pretty much everyone can find something they'd like.

Took my wife there last night. I had been there once before on my own and though it was good Asian-Fusion. However, this time was different. Service was good and luckily we escaped a long wait. It comes down to quality of food you pay for. I had a tempura mahi-mahi sandwich. My wife had the pad thai. The food was ok....we left saying that we didn't need to come back.....and the Elephant adventure theme of the restaurant is weak at best.

Elephant Bar has a theme restaurant feel. The decor is pleasant with dark woods, animal motifs, and kind of a up scale tropical feel. We found the menu selection to be extensive and the food exceptional. The Crab & Shrimp Louie Salad is loaded with fresh ingredients and as a "lighter side" entree only tips the scale at 710 calories. My wife had a skillfully prepared Grilled Rainbow Trout with brown rice and spinach with 690 calories. With a couple glasses of iced tea and our $7 discount coupon that came via the USPS we were out the door for $30 bucks. Our server also recommended we join the "Safari Club" to get more discounts. All around a very good experience!

Yes it's a great place for that metro feel. I love sitting near or in the bar because of the cool giraffes! Now the food here is good! My favorites are the coconut shrimp skewers and their creme brulee is VERY good! The main menu has so many good things that you can't go wrong with anything you choose. Prices are reasonable and they have a fantastic wine list!!!

Visited Elephant Bar on 2/17 and was eating "Macadamia Nut crusted Mahi-Mahi" at around 6pm. VILOENTLY sick at midnight. Warning signs started when I noticed I was burping up "Mahi-Mahi" taste several hours after eating there. This is usually a bad sign. Severe watery diarrhea started at 11pm and continued thru 3am, Vomited several times around midnight - 6 hours after eating this swill. Sounds like food poisoning to me. It stopped me cold, and was in bed till 2pm next day with stomach cramps. Yikes. Strange, as I eat here all the time and I always get this Mahi-Mahi dish. Called the store and spoke to GM Drew, who seemed to take the issue seriously. He asked if it could be an allergic reaction. HA - I eat this dish all the time there. I have never known an allergic reaction to cause extreme diarrhea and vomiting. Drew is sending me a gift card to use on another visit but I don't know if I will risk it. The gift card may just go on EBAY. CAREFUL - eat here at your own risk.

Wow! I am very impressed. I went with an elderly relative and the waitstaff couldn't have been any more friendly. They went above and beyond to help her with anything she needed. The server was from the Lakewood location and was awesome! I had a crab/shrimp salad with mangos/grilled pineapples and it was so delicious and healthy! My relative had fish and chips and it was wonderful. The sweet potato fries were great! This is a great place!

My boyfriend and I recently visited some friends in CO and heard about The Elephant bar..we thought everything was amazing! I had the ribs and they fell off the bone..so good! My boyfriend got the seared ahi tuna with brown rice and he loved it! We also got a couple of their signature drinks that were also very good. The service was also great! Can't go wrong with Elephant Bar! Usually we go there for lunch with co-workers or with some girlfriends, I think we've done dinner there a few times also. Great drinks, giant menu with everything you can possibly think of, and great deserts. Most recently I had talapia with lobster sauce, brown rice, and veggies. It was fantastic!! Previous time I was there, my meal wasn't that great (some kind of a noodle dish), but overall it's a great place, and atmosphere is really nice, very beautiful decor, and very cozy.

Stopped in for happy hour on a Thurs, the place was pretty busy, but not waits. It was really authentic with jungle themed -upscale decorations and the kitchen is right there with half-walls so you can see what's going on in the back, interesting. They have an amazing happy hour menu til 7 (SWEET) with 3.50-6.50 food and 3-5 buck bevereages, (but you have to sit in the bar). They have a pretty big seating area though, but only very small tables for the bar seats, maybe 2-3 people could squeeze in, (the only reason I didnt' give them 5 stars, would be hard to get a small group of folks in for hh) they also have seating around the bar. We had the buffalo chicken tenders, which were a really good sized serving, the bf liked them pretty well, they were 5 or 6 large crispy tenders with buffalo sauce with ranch and carrots/celery for 4.50. We also split the sweet potato fries, with an amazing saucy dip, they werent a gigantic portion, but were served a cute paper vase piece. Snazzy. I had the tempura'd salmon roll, was 8 pieces, average sized roll and was very good. They serve it up with teriyaki-ish sweet sauce, soy, wasabu, just as you would expect at a sushi restaurant. I really liked it, and I was pleased with the serving size. They have tall domestics for 4bucks fancy drinks like mojito for 4bucks. The service was spectacular and we didnt' have to wait for anything, our waters were constantly being filled, and continued to be helpful and talkative, to us and other tables I noticed, even though there was a pretty full bar, and it looked like the 2 bartenders had the whole bar section, tables included, so I had to give a kudos to them for being attentive and on top of things and welcoming all at the same time of being pretty swamped (hard to find these days). We will definately be back to try out the rest of the menu, although I am digging the hh menu. I've heard good things about the mac n cheese and the burger/fries/beer combo for 6.50 sounds pretty sweet too.
